The bulldog whose story sparked a movement
Reba was a beloved bulldog whose life was tragically cut short in July 2024 by a senseless act of cruelty. Her death shocked our community and exposed the glaring gaps in Nevada's animal protection laws.
But Reba's story didn't end with tragedy. Her memory became the catalyst for change; inspiring Las Vegas native & resident John Waudby to create Nevada Animal Advocates and the fight for Reba's Law (AB381), legislation designed to ensure that those who commit such heinous acts face real consequences.
Reba may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. Every step we take, every law we fight for, every voice we raise—it's all for her and for every animal who deserves protection.

In Nevada, it is illegal to leave a pet in a vehicle during extreme heat. Reba's Law provides civil immunity for those who take reasonable action to rescue an animal in distress from a locked car.
Important: Always attempt to contact local law enforcement or first responders before taking action to enter a vehicle.
